Plante herbacée, hermaphrodite, à tiges érigées, couvertes de poils blancs.

Feuilles opposées décussées, simples, ovales à orbiculaires, dentées, pétiolées, laineuses, à limbe épais et gaufré, à nervures en réseaux.

Fleurs à symétrie bilatérale, blanches, de 6 à 15 mm de long, réunies en denses glomérules verticillés de 20 à 50 mm de large. Corolle poilue, à tube plus long que le calice, à 2 lèvres, la supérieure droite, bilobée, l’inférieure trilobée, à lobes latéraux bien visibles, à lobe central échancré. Calice à 5 sépales soudés, velus, à 10 dents crochues. 4 étamines dont 2 plus longues, soudées sur le tube de la corolle. Ovaire supère.

Fruits, 4 akènes arrondis au sommet.

Leaves opposite decussate, simple, ovate to orbicular, toothed, petiolate, woolly, with a thick and embossed blade, with veins in networks.

Flowers bilaterally symmetrical, white, from 6 to 15 mm long, joined together in dense whorled glomeruli from 20 to 50 mm across. Corolla hairy, with a tube longer than the calyx, two-lipped, the higher one straight, two-lobed, the lower one three-lobed, with quite conspicuous lateral lobes, with an indented central lobe. Calyx with 5 fused sepals, very hairy, with 10 hooked teeth. 4 stamens including 2 longer, fused on the tube of the corolla. Ovary superior.

Fruits, 4 achenes rounded at the top.
