Plante herbacée, hermaphrodite, à tiges simples, érigées, à poils blancs appliqués.

Feuilles à la base et opposées, divisées pennatiséquées, poilues, à segments lancéolés.

Fleurs à symétrie radiaire, rouges à grand centre foncé, solitaires, de 35 mm de diamètre environ. Corolle à 4 pétales libres. Calice à 2 sépales verts, libres, tombant à la floraison. Style à 5 stigmates à poils violets. Étamines nombreuses à anthère violette et à filet foncé. Ovaire supère.

Fruits, capsules poilues, allongées à presque cylindriques, de 10 à 15 mm de long.

Style with 5 stigmas with violet hairs. Stamens numerous with a violet anther and a dark filament. Ovary superior.

Fruits, hairy, lengthened to almost cylindrical capsules, from 10 to 15 mm long.
